Jen's new church responsibility

Jen has a new church calling (responsibility) as the Young Women's President in the ward. While it was in the works behind the scences for a number of weeks, I had to hold off telling her about it until the official word came down. In fact, her name had surfaced a few times over the past few months for similar callings, but each time it didn't work out.

As Young Women's President, she'll have the opportunity to work with all of the girls ages 12 to 18. Of course, she will help mold these girls into upstanding adults. Then she can come home and work on the rest of us.

Jen is really excited and until recently has been clamoring for a calling in the Young Women's organization for quite sometime. She really enjoyed working with the 8 to 11 year old girls and told me that her days of wanting a calling with the young women were over. No less than a month later she is now working with said young women. Funny how things work like that.
