Allie's First Two Days of Pre-K

Last week, Allie started pre-kindergarten at the elementary school near our neighborhood. She previously experienced daytime schooling when she attended a 3-hour, 4-day a week type of pre-K last school year.

The first few days of pre-K were only half-days in order to help the children acclimate to going to school every day. This week, however, is full-day pre-K (well, they finish in the early afternoon). Upon arriving home after the first day of class, Allie reported, in typical fashion, "It was boring." The next day was not so boring, but she did indicate that she is "tired of going to school." Later in the week, she did indicate that she is having fun and generally likes her school class. More reports to come, but we wanted to at least post a few pictures.

Thanks for the pictures of the school girl. I love that the backpack is half as big as she is.

It reminds me of the first time we ever put a backpack on her with her church toys in it. She was only about 2 and she fell right over backwards from the weight of it. It was so funny. Typical Allie, she got right back up and put it back on.
Allie also claims to not like her teacher because "she never lets me do anything that I want to do". Is she four of fourteen?

Poor Allie. I didn't think school was boring until the 5th or 6th grade. She's got a long way to go. And I'm interested to know what it is she wants to do and that the teacher won't allow.
