Allie was baptized on Saturday February 2, 2013. What a wonderful day as Allie made an important decision in her life. Here are a couple of pictures of the family and of Allie and her parents.

Baby West #4 is here

Well is has been a couple of weeks since the birth, so I thought pictures on the somewhat neglected blog are in order. Our fourth child, Jefferson, was born on Aug 23, 2011 at 1:40am. At birth he was 8 lbs. 15 oz. and 21 inches long. He was born at home in a birthing tub without complication. It was nice not to have to worry about driving to the hospital and messing with car seats and such. Plus, our daughter, Allie was able to see the birth, something that might not have panned out otherwise. Now on to the pictures…

Here is the birth tub before while I was filling it up. Nothing too technical--just a hose hooked up the the shower.

We then had a birthday celebration for Jefferson. Not sure why Jack is missing his shirt…but I guess the draw of cake was too strong.

Dunking Booth (Aug 2010)

We went to the WKU football and sports extravaganza right after we moved here last year. They had a dunking booth that Allie and Jack wanted to try out. Of course, they couldn't quite get the velocity needed to move the dunk arm, so Allie came up with her own way to "get the dunk."

Shooting a gun at the fair and rodeo

While at the fair and rodeo last March, we stopped to see a comedy show for kids. The guys who perform the show have been there at the rodeo in the past and I have always wondered if the kids get any of their humor. Anyhow, Allie was selected to perform a gun trick. My only concern about the whole thing was that they were teaching gun safety, but as you can see in the video they had no problem pointing a gun at one of the performers. So, our family had to have a little more discussion about gun safety when the show ended.

Rodeo and Fair

In March we went to the rodeo and fair. Although Jack and Lincoln don't look like it, we all had fun. Notice one of the sponsors in the background.
